Average bird weights are important to know when I can't see your bird and you are asking me about sizes for flight suits. This table developed by Rosemary Law is a great guide for it gives us averages to aid us in determining size. There is a range among individuals of each species.

Knowing your pet's weight is a good thing to know. Parrots are masters at hiding any sickness or weakness and their weight can reveal a problem much sooner than any other factor. Here is the chart:
