Live Food for Parrots?!?
Parrots eating live food??? What
does this mean? Does this mean feeding them crickets or
mealworms or mice? NO, NO, It means feeding them food that
is fresh enough that it still contains many of the rich
phytonutrients. If your parrot were living in the wild, the
good Lord provides a smorgasbord of foods for them to choose
from. Do they live on seeds or pellets in the wild? No, they
spend their time eating branches, grains, leaves, stems,
fruits, flowers. shoots, berries, nuts and other vegetation.
Phytonutrients are nutrients derived from live foods and are
rich in antioxidants. And, antioxidants greatly enhance your
bird's immune system and protect cells from damage. |
